Episode 4: Hampton and Kennedy-Grimes

 

 

Loren Hampton 

Loren Hampton is a rising 2L and Co-President of the Black Law Student Association. She is a LEOP tutor, a SACK Fellow, a member of Hastings’ moot court team for the 2020-2021 school year, and a member of the Hasting’s Honors Society. Loren has a Bachelors’s in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Masters in Public Health from Berkeley. During her time in graduate school, she focused on various forms of systemic racism and how they affect the health of Black people and more specifically pregnant Black mothers. Loren is also Tony Patiño fellow-elect. Loren enjoys spending time with her loved ones, exercising, and playing with her Chocolate Lab, Huey P.

Marcus Kennedy-Grimes 

Marcus Kennedy Grimes is an Oakland, CA native. He graduated from Howard University in 2019 with a B.A. in Strategic Legal and Management Communication with honors. Marcus saw that power that attorneys had to enact change in the world and chose to pursue a legal degree at UC Hastings, where he is a rising 2L. At Hastings, he is the current co-president of BLSA (Black Law Student Association), on the moot court team, and a SACK Fellow for Criminal Law. He is also an inaugural member of the California Scholars Program. In his free time you can find him exploring different genres of music or playing basketball.
